Declare this week (and forever) that you are living in the FAVOR of God! Favor is defined as:
Being treated with preference
No matter what you go through in life, remember as a child of God, you will ALWAYS have the upper hand because you walk in Kingdom Favor! It’s a part of your heritage, as a child of God, not to live under a curse but the Blessing, which includes the favor of God.
What does favor look like? Well, Israel experienced favor as they were exiting Egypt.
35 Now the Israelites had acted in accordance with the word of Moses; and they had asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing. 36 The Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And so they plundered the Egyptians [of those things]. (Ex 12:35-36, AMP)
Let's take a look at Joseph and how his own brother sold him into slavery. However, God was with him and he experienced favor!
The Lord was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. 3 Now his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to prosper (succeed) in his hand. 4 So Joseph pleased Potiphar and found favor in his sight and he served him as his personal servant. He made Joseph overseer over his house, and he put all that he owned in Joseph’s charge. 5 It happened that from the time that he made Joseph overseer in his house and [put him in charge] over all that he owned, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph; so the Lord’s blessing was on everything that Potiphar owned, in the house and in the field. (Gen 39:2-5, AMP)
Notice that when Gods favor is on your life, it will cause others to favor you as well! Because God favored Joseph, Potiphar had no choice but to favor him as well. When Gods favor is on your life, your boss, co-workers, etc. must favor you as well!
There are five avenues to accessing your favor:
Through Wisdom (Proverbs 8:35)
As you seek God (Proverbs 11:27, 12:2
Through a Godly Marriage (Proverbs 18:22)
Through Understanding (Proverbs 13:15)
Through Divine Favor. Sometimes God needs to release favor on your life, in order to get you to a particular place (Exodus 12: 35-36)
It is Gods will that you not only receive the favor of God on your life but that you GROW in that favor. Favor gets stronger on your life as you get closer to God.
And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:52)
This week, speak and decree that the favor of God is on your life! God purposely gave you his “Favor” in order to show off His goodness in your life as a testimony of just how great He is! Have a Blessed week!
